Before use, empty out all of the putty in the container and knead until it softens. The oil on the surface should be distributed within the putty. Brush shellac onto the putty rebate. Puttying is easiest at room temperature. Store the putty in a cool place or in the freezer. Hardened putty can be "revived" after a few seconds on full power in a microwave. The putty should be overpainted. Paintable directly or after a week.
